- BShe must display sidelights only; a sternlight is not required for vessels under 7 meters
- CShe shall exhibit an all-round white light or have ready at hand an electric torch or lighted lantern showing a white light, to be exhibited in sufficient time to prevent collision✓ correct
- DShe is exempt from all lighting requirements because she is under 7 meters
Why C is correct
33 CFR §83.25(d)(i) states that a sailing vessel of less than 7 meters in length shall, if practicable, exhibit the prescribed sidelights and sternlight, but if she does not, she shall exhibit an all-round white light or have ready at hand an electric torch or lighted lantern showing a white light to be exhibited in sufficient time to prevent collision. There is no blanket exemption from lighting requirements.
