Why B is correct
33 CFR §84.02(i)(i) states that on a vessel of 20 meters or more in length, lights prescribed to be carried in a vertical line shall be spaced not less than 1 meter apart. The 2-meter figure applies to the separation between forward and after masthead lights on power-driven vessels, not to vertical light arrays.
